Øjeblikket
Øjeblikket is a Danish art magazine dealing with ’art and what art is about. The content of the magazine is focused on philosophical, historical as well as political questions relevant in a contemorary situation as seen from both an ethic and anaesthetic perspective. The magazine has existed for 13 years with shifting editorial groups. Øjeblikket is an independent, non-profit magazine printed in 1000 copies, as one of very few regular publications on art in Danish. The economy of the magazine is depending onabout 300 subscribers and on financial support primarily from the cultural ministry of Denmark. The editors stress to have equal representation of male and female contributors. We aim at also presenting non-canonized writers as well as artists among more known and established contributors. With each publication we translate important material not previously available in Danish. Each magazine contains visual contributions produced for the format of a publication. Since 2006 an appendix called ØJEBLIK! has accompagnied the magazine Øjeblikket, focussing on reviews of particularly exhibitions and publications. Karin Hindsbo and Kristina has been editing Øjeblikket since 2003 and was joined by Mikkel Bolt in 2005.
